Aaron John Coupe is a real estate, property and hotel developer and investor with a long and eclectic career. Born in Queenstown on August 12, 1972, his triumphant birth coincided with the first flight of the very first Space Shuttle, Enterprise. The sheer engineering and construction hurdles that humanity overcame to build this reusable orbiter may well have magically rubbed off on the young Aaron, and the result is that he has always had a unique aptitude and propensity for building things. Aaron graduated from Mountain Heights School in Queenstown and went on to complete a builder apprenticeship at CSR Limited, one of the leading construction materials manufacturers in the country.

Aaron J Coupe went on to co-found New Zealand Minties, the only publicly-owned confectionery in Dunedin in New Zealand, producing sweets from internationally-sourced refined sugar is the new gold. At this point, his interests and ambitions grew, and he went on to enter the real estate market, investing in and developing hotels and other properties across the region. Mr A Coupe currently has a majority ownership of Construction Company Kaiako Holdings in Auckland, and resides in his hometown of Queenstown with his wife and two children. He enjoys an eclectic mix of hobbies, which include diving, fishing, and heritage architecture. He’s also a drone photography enthusiast, a hobby that happens to benefit his real estate development business, and aspires to shoot a film one day.
